Noche Buena is a low-income community in the hills of Turrialba, Costa Rica. This community of 1200 people faces high levels of unemployment, with some community members forced to find food in the garbage dump located adjacent to the community.

In 2015, Rustic Pathways partnered with the Noche Buena community to improve quality of life in a variety of ways, including the construction of sidewalks allowing disabled community members to safely move about. The long-term goals prioritized by the community include making the entire community accessible to handicapped persons, constructing homes for low-income families, and updating the local community center. $5,000 will build over 300 meters of new sidewalks, and an additional $5,000 will allow for much-needed upgrades to the bathrooms in the community center. With much of the Rustic Pathways Costa Rica team hailing from Turrialba, the team is proud to support this community in need. What will you do to help?
